Eliminate unused cameras from viewing as blanks
I have an Annke modelDT661BS DVR 16 camera system I only have 12 cameras. I would like to eliminate the last 4 13-16 from showing up we viewing I’d different windows and in auto scan mode. Is this possible

Hello, Sorry no one has been able to help you so far. I don't have your device and so my device setup might be little different then yours but for my Annke to make this change while using GUI of the DVR, click on the Cog at the top, System, Live View, VIEW. Then in here I click on 16ch. Then I turn off the ones I don't have connected by pressing the X for them channels. Then I Apply. However keep in mind that if you have a Tour setup for different format then 1 at a time you might need to fix in other views. I am just saying. If it keeps popping up after you make this change.. So you will want to click that format on the bottom of the screen, like if you do the 4 screen view remove the ones you don't want apply and so on..

Alex What device are you working with? If it would be helpful I could setup a Video and post a link to what I am talking about. However there are a few things that need to be understood, When you remove them (Easy Part) It is when you add in new cameras and forget what was done to remove them. There are a few different ways to remove missing camera ports when it comes to DVR's If you are working with an NVR that might be different seeing I don't own any Annke NVR's. I do own a good few from different company but it is somewhat different then my Annke to remove them.

Hi, sorry. It's an h800 NVR bought last week. I just want to hide the unused channels so they don't show up. I'm sitting installing some cameras so currently more than half the channels are unused. I have been through all the menus. I'm surprised there isn't an obvious button like 'hide inactive channels'. There must be a way.

Yeah being an NVR it might be different. I will admit that my Annke DVR is one of the faster recorders for removing cameras. However there are some other things I show as well. If your GUI isn't same as this one look around yours for a page that looks kind of like mine..
What is odd anyway for me. I have other brand NVR's 2 AI NVR's and some older none AI nvrs and for my systems anyway if there is no camera connected or lets say one was connected to POE port and removed the yeah there will be a empty channel However if one was never added lets say on my 16ch AI NVR that has 16ch connected. However if I removed 2 of them and they fall off the list then they wouldn't show up on my Split Screen as an Empty black screen. Also in them I can change the layout easier of say moving channel 4 to channel 14 spot even able to do so without going to main menu. Good news is that it can still be done in the Annke either way..
