Annke 171GK
AnsweredHi everyone,
I've just bought a new house, and there are 4 Ankke 171GK cameras installed. I'm trying to find out how to get them working, but I can't find specific information for this model. I've tried Annke Vision and Annke Sight apps without success. I guess these cameras could be part of a NVR kit, but I don't have it. Is it possible to set up these cameras without NVR? and if not, What NVR should I get to get the system working?
Many thanks.
Best regards.

They can be setup using the Annke Sight app. So here is what you will need to do, First you will need to get that app, as you said you do, then you will want to press the cameras Reset button, once you do that press the + on the app to add the camera, you will then need to scan the code on the camera, ONce you scan the code it should give you info like the password to connect but you will want to make sure you change that password to something that the last owner wouldn't be able to figure out. Like don't make it admin4832 or what ever your house number is as the last owner might try things like that common to your home... Default password is 11111111 for that camera.. Then once you log in it will have you select your wifi, unless you are going to use over the Ethernet. Anyway if you setup for wifi put in the SSID and the password for the Router and it will setup to your network. Then it will pop up and ask you if you want Free Cloud, I personally would day no but that is going to be up to you..
So to gain access to the reset button take off the bottom plate of the camera there should be a PCB toward the back. Press it until it resets..

Hi James,
Many thanks for your response. I've been looking for the reset button without luck, I've seen a tiny hole in the front but I guess it's a microphone. I'm enclosing some pics to see if someone can help me finding it.
I've managed to open the camera using the iSight App, but only connecting the camera to ethernet and manually adding as "Kit" with the ip address. There I can see the image but can't configure anything.
Many thanks for your help!

Interesting, I personally can't see a reset button and hate to say that at times there is some funky things going on in some of the CCTV cameras where there is no button, some might have a Reset pair of pads and others may not have any way to reset outside of a Software Reset and or from company intervention.
Sorry about the info I gave it is for a 171GP and yours is a GK, I seen 171 and thought there was only one type. I mean the GP and GK kind of look alike even. Just the one has bottom that comes off and has a slot for Micros SD and reset button..

Also looking at your pictures again. There might still be one on your camera, I don't see a picture showing the side where the button is on the camera I showed a picture of. The main wire in from the camera side is only side I don't see a picture from you and I would look where them wires are and see if there is a button if not if there is 2 pads that might have Reset in the PCB Masking..

Sorry to hear that.. Personally I would look at buying a system with wired camera be it a DVR with RG59 or a NVR that uses IP cameras. If you get a POE NVR just try to get one that isn't Brand specific and complies with ONVIF. If not you will be let down rather fast..
While some people think that DVR's are the way of the past I can tell you out of all my systems I have 8mp AI DVR's that are better in many ways then my 8mp AI NVR's when it comes to ease of setup and the ability to really work with H.265 Encoding within the recorder. NVR's get little picky about what and when. so if you are going to pull new wires because what you have now is Wifi, I would pull both RG59 and Cat5E to each location.
