Wz500 keeps changing time zones and Local Ip address?
So I have not had this camera all that long and it is starting to really make me mad lol.. Besides something that I mentioned little while back where the camera keeps changing the time zone form -5 to -4 and that isn't where I am at. I keep changing to -5:00.. Next thing is I go to access the camera WebUI and when I put in the IP address I get a can't access page because that known address is no longer the one I entered. So To make sure the camera is still working I access camera on App and it shows it is online. I go to Device info and it shows my Internet Ip address not the one that is setup in the camera. So I access my Router and I can't find the Ip that I setup in the camera inmy pool of addresses. So I look for what I know the MAC address is and it changed from 10.0.0.22 down to 10.0.0.2 Why? My Router isn't setup to give it a IP address because I setup the Camera to have a Static IP.. Why are things changing in my camera without me making the changes? I am only one that has local access and as far as I know there isn't any outside access..
Also because of the changes being made I also change the Admin default password because I don't have any IP camera that has ever came from any company besides this camera that has not forced me to change the Password.. Anyone reading this that owns this camera CHNAGE YOUR PASSWORD.. If you don't it is open for the world to see if they know the SN to your camera..

It seems that the IP address change is when the camera does a Nightly Reboot. Because the camera once more is back to 10.0.0.2 and I will admit this time not only at that address but also reflects that address in networking. Last time this happened when I looked at the page at Settings, system it still showed that the 10.0.0.22 was the IP address it was setup for yet I was connected in browser at the 10.0.0.2.. Very strange issue this camera has..

Also here is one from the other day that I remembered to take a snap shot where the IP address was setup in that page at 10.0.0.2 however as you can see in the browser I was connected at 10.0.0.22. The good news is at least that day the Time Zone was right lol
Edit: Also forgot to mention that the Time zone changed again tonight back to 4 along with from 22 to 2.. This is starting to IRK me

So I thought I could keep the system happy by turning off the Night Reboot and I wouldn't have to worry about the IP issue. Nope didn't work that way.. I have the camera setup in my router to give that camera a Default IP and all other devices that I use this on most times a device that don't allow Static in the cameras setup like a Smart Home Product from another company. So i setup Static in my Router and leave the camera on DHCP settings seeing there is no option. None of my other devices have given out a Random or in the case of this camera the same 10.0.0.2 IP.. Also what is odd my Router also has a Doorbell setup to use IP 2 so when the WZ500 gets 2 it not only takes out one of my doorbells but also makes it so the Recorder for the WZ500 no longer gets events to record.. So the camera while being setup on DHCP don't listen to the Router for an IP and if I setup a Static Ip the camera ignores the setup anyway.. What the HECK..

Well Ryan, When I did a RESET of the camera it came up with some strange numbers in the setup to be honest..
I thought I took a Screen shot of it but looking back at the ones since I owned the camera I guess I didn't. However it was something like 192.168.1.xxx with the Gateway of something even stranger like 192.168.1.34 or something and it might not even been the 1 before the last digits it was some time ago and don't see anything to clear that up. Found it was odd because after reboot when I had the camera setup on the router to give it a 10.0.0.22 Ip that was the Ip I was able to reach it at and seen that data with the 192 in the network settings.. I will reset the camera and let you know if it comes back into view that way..
-
Ok sorry I was wrong.. 192.168.1.18 was default and 192.168.1.1 was Gateway.. That is right I remember now.. So if you look at the pictures below you can see the IP I am connected to was 10.0.0.22 and the item in the Network tab or info page was 10.0.0.2 LOL.. The second picture again connection to 10.0.0.22 and in the network and info tab after reset you can see the second picture shows 192.168.1.18..

LOL now after doing this Reset the camera won't load back into Blue Iris lol. When I do a Search for a Camera it keeps telling me that it is no longer a PTZ camera and that it is a Cantonk brand camera at that lol Then if I add it under that searched type with the changed password it says that the password is bad FFS.. About ready to Tannerite this camera lol..

LOL Ok what a Mess.. So in order to really have access to the camera as a ONVIF able camera you first have to make sure that it is connected to the Annke Smart App. If it isn't then the camera won't work right in a Recorder lol.. So after banging my head trying to get it setup back in Blue Iris. I was able to access the camera on the IP that I showed above and even after rebooting it a few times the camera showed 10.0.0.22 as the IP even though as I have said I have the camera setup for DHCP and my Router setup to give it 10.0.0.202 lol. Camera has a mind of it's own.. Even after setting back up to my Annke app the camera while it did load right in Blue Iris and I am able to use presets and pan tilt and zoom the camera still changed back to 4 times zone even though I changed from the +8 it starts with to -5.. This camera is Very Buggy..

Well I didn't do a Search that is the IP the Camera has stock in it when I was able to load it with a total different IP as shown in my pictures above.. I also remember why I did not have a Snapshot of the IP because that time I was making a Video of the Camera Reset so it is in a Video. However didn't remember this until after I did the Reset again.. Oddly the camera isn't like any of my 100 other cameras I own and showing a 192.x.x.x ip while accessing the camera on my 10.x.x.x ip is something non of my other cameras would do.. Also being able to access this camera without a good password after reset and not being required to change the password is something NONE of my other IP cameras or 20 plus Recorders have ever done even Ip cameras from 10 years ago has better security then this WZ500 camera...

What I don't understand is this camera was the second one I turned on of this model. First one in my Router pool was given 10.0.0.21 and I know this because when devices are turned on in my Router I have to give them access to work. So when I went to look the camera was showing denied access so I gave it access. This second camera started and was giving 10.0.0.22 to start with again had to give it access. So I just made it so it would always connect for Blue Iris I setup static in the camera as I do all my other devices and after giving it a static IP the stupid camera kept being lost and in my router I could see seeing I knew the Mac Address that it loaded at 10.0.0.2 even though the router is setup to give that to my Doorbell camera.. What a MESS I see in my email that a Reply was made so I end here.. to go look lol Have a good night hope you figure out your camera issues.. As there is many with this WZ500 for me on both of the cameras I own..

To be honest it don't seem to work well for me anyway.. The feature is either not programmed well or limited for a reason to keep the camera from burning out the Pan and Tilt motors to fast. I mean in my Real PTZ camera it is very easy you go to the menu and you setup what preset you want to have in your tour. Once you setup that up and press tour the camera goes on until you change back to a preset. Once the preset is called then it goes back to normal preset mode where if you pan or tilt the camera from normal home position or if you happen to go to a different preset it will return home after the set time. However as I said Tour if called will stay on that tour until some other function was called and the tour was canceled.
With the Annke camera, Go to the WebUI for the camera, then Settings, PTZ Functions, Auto Tour and put in a Preset that you want your camera to tour to or from if you will and then press save. Once you save that it in my case goes to that preset and then back to preset 1 when you call the tour. However when you are expecting it to go back to the next preset the camera looks like it just returns home (Preset 1) so while I know that you can setup all presets without adding 1 and the camera will not return home. So that might be a way to have it tour full time maybe is setup the camera with Preset 2 on and then setup the lets say preset 4 and 10 to be your tour and maybe between them 2 preset the camera will keep rocking rather then return home to (Preset 1) seeing it wasn't added it might keep going from 4 to 10 I personally have not setup my camera with out Preset 1 (Home) setting so I am not sure. Be it known, Quality of the camera I am not sure how long the motors will last if you were to keep it in a Full time Tour and to be honest quality of camera picture with camera motion isn't really high enough like some of my others that I would want to use it in a Tour or full pan type setting because of the blur that goes on going from 1 preset to the next..
-
So yeah I removed preset 1 and I added in a tour. It really isn't anything worth even working with. I mean with preset 1 in play if you were to add in preset 3 as your tour point. Then choose a preset like lets say 10. Then when you press the tour button on WebUI or some other format to start the tour it would take you from 10 to 3 and then back to 1 however if you had it on 10 and put in 3 without preset 1 in play when you press the start tour it will only take you to preset 3. I guess maybe it is a speed preset if lets say you wanted to go to preset 200 without having to scroll down there in a list or hunt for it you could add it to your tour spot and by pressing the button it will just take you there. Again without having preset 1 setup it wouldn't go back to 10 it would only take you to that 1 preset from where ever you were last sitting..
