DW81KD lack of wireless connectivity

It’s been a long time since I’ve wasted this much time and money on a system that won’t hook up to the internet wirelessly. This is perhaps the greatest disappointment this year. It’s virtually useless to me after paying hundreds for the unit hundreds to have people put up the cameras and now it’s all just a big waste.

    Wait what? Hook up Wireless? I mean are you asking about a DVR that you can connect to your NETWORK over Wireless? What gave you the Impression that you would be able to do such a thing? There is no such Home or Business DVR that I know of out side of COP Type systems that connect to Police Cars that cost many many Hundreds of dollars. A DVR or NVR give the option (Feature) of making a connection to a Network over Ethernet and this is because you want a good fast connection for Remote access. Wifi is not something that is good for CCTV.. 

    However if you are asking about setting up a COAX DVR to a Wireless IP camera then in fact the 81KD can do so. You just have to know how to enable the feature. Keep in mind that if you use VCA features offered in the V3 or V4 what ever they call it for newer 81KD from 2020+ then enabling IP cameras will disable the ability to use VCA in most cases. The 81KD will work as 8 analog cameras or upto 10 IP cameras and or can just enable 2 IP channels to work along with your 8 analog channels. But would need to understand more what you are trying to do.
