    Many thanks. For anyone who sees this in the future when experiencing the same problems, the issue was that I was using the cables from my previous system. They have BNC + power but then combine those into a single cable as they travel. The cables for the 8MP system are two cable all the way.

    So I will need to replace all my external cables which is frustrating, but not a fault with the system in any way. The picture now is clean and crisp.

    Hi, Tim,

    Glad to hear that!

    For the 4K/8MP security system, it is highly recommended to use the original cables coming with the package. Because the cameras have a high requirement about the anti-interference. Or the quality of the camera's images will be affected.

    However my house requires longer cables than those provided in the kit. Previously I have bought longer cables from your resellers but they tell me they do not stock longer cables of this new "RG59 Siamese" type. This is a nuisance as I will have to source them from elsewhere and take risks as to the quality I am buying. Any suggestions ?

    Hi there. There's nothing confidential here. I have bought the Ultra HD 8-channel CCTV system and it comes with standard length cables (I'd guess 20m) and I need longer ones - last time I used 30m.

     

    The HD requires "siamese RG59" cables I believe, rather than the old systems where the two cables were merged into a single one. So I just need to know if you make longer ones - I can't be the only person who needs my cameras to be a bit further away.
