    Hi, Derek,

    Good day!

For the DW81KD, it could work with the analog cameras, and you could set up motion detection for the cameras.

If you add an IP camera to DW81KD, please make sure the IP camera supports the ONVIF protocol. Besides, please make sure the resolution of the IP camera doesn't exceed 1080P/2MP.

After you add the camera to DW81KD, you could set up motion detection for the IP camera on the DVR directly.

By the way, here is the instruction about how to add the IP camera to DW81KD: https://help.annke.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000252082

    Thank you for your response.
I have connected the IP camera to the NVR ok as it support onvif.
However when I try to set up motion detection it says that the camera does not support this? The other cameras are 3M.
The IP camera supports motion detection and can record to a SD card in the camera ok.
I assumed that the NVR performed the motion detection on the image supplied from the camera?
Is there a specification that the camera needs for this to work

    Hi, Derek,

For the motion detection problem, could you please provide me a picture of the Motion page on the monitor? When you select the camera, did you select the D1 channel? Besides, could you please send the email to support@annke.com? I will follow your case via email. In the email, please mention my name.
