Guarding Vision Live View Issues
Guarding Vision software installed on a Windows 10 machine will only SPORADICALLY show actual live view screens from the cameras. IE setup has no issues. Annke Vision app has no issues.
I have looked everywhere possible inside the GV all for settings to make this work but nothing seems to affect live view working or not.

Hi Jim, Sorry to see youre having similar issues to me though unable to help you on this as hav'nt even got GV working on my laptop PC/ windows 10 yet either but as you got that far wondered of you can let me know the steps, then I can also work on the same problem youve got to find a solution. Ive downloaded bluestacks, annke sight, annke vision but cant get them to speak wot bluestacks - Im sure its data entry on my end but in retracing the steps to see where the error might be brings up even more issues including the google account is not associated with the device - and that in itself seems a mystery to resolve. How did you get as far as you did?

Hi there, David
Just bought a DN81R DVR recently. The problem is Annke vision on bluestacks. You can see that on the network percentage, its populating the image but its not showing the actual video footage, it just goes black and its doing in all cameras. What could be the problem, please help. Also tried Guarding vision same problem
Thank you

I see this post started many months ago. But, for the record, here is the solution, which is really the standard install process which simply isn't explained by the user manual.
1. Try to utilize Windows Explorer 10, as it has more controls built in, i.e. Active-x, Java, Wan side, Lan side, private networks.
2. In the DVR's UI, usually under Network, be sure to enable RTSP for Live View.
3. And this is the most common issue, not allowing the GV app to prompt you to install the latest version of WebControls. There's supposed to be a pop-up (Active-x I believe) to tell you to install this. It never appears, unless you alert IE's defaults - settings, last tab, scroll down to Active-x, change all to prompt. And while you're at it, turn off the pop-up blocker.
4. Restart the UI. It should now prompt you to install the latest WebControls.
You're done! The two key issues are really the WebControls update and enabling RTSP for Live View.
Getting it all to work on chrome can be difficult. Most folks stick with IE.
Now, simply adjust your Live View parameters to either main stream of sub, depending on where you'll be viewing from. Main stream, HD on the app, can eat up your 4G data cap very quickly. So, you might prefer to set all cameras in the app to Basic, or substream.
Good luck!
