Knowing what system your working with might yield a better answer..

I mean I do have a system that offers a 6 Custom view sadly it isn't a Annke so from what I seen of my Annke DVR I don't have any way to make a 6ch split or also called Custom Split...

Sadly most systems are a 1, 4, 8, 9 and 16ch splits and my annke be it a 8ch or 10 if you count the 2 IP channels and the only splits it has is 1, 4, 8..

I do have a 16ch AI POE NVR that has 6ch Split again sadly it isn't Annke..

The system doesn't support 6-view mode for live view.

Steve, Sorry they gave you the bad news but I have something that might be a Solution and will work with your Annke system.. If you have your system setup and monitored around a computer you can do what I do sometimes. I setup my Annke 81kd to work on Single Screen mode on a 24" monitor, I have it setup for Full screen on motion on a few different channels incase I am looking at something else when the window changes it takes my Attention...

Where the computer comes in is I also have in my room 4 other monitors that  I have setup for different systems doing different tasks, Have one for my AI NVR, my AI DVR and then one for my normal Computer task.. The one I have setup for my computer in my monitor room, I also have Hikvision iVMS 4200 setup so I can monitor not only my 81KD V3 but I have 2 others that I want to see cameras from as well. SO I use my iVMS 4200 so I can VIEW all 30 Channels on my DVR's at the same time. 32 split normal.. ON the normal setup there is 1, 4, 6, 9, 16, 25,32,36 and 64 Splits. Then there is a Wide that offers 4,6,7,9,12,16,24, 36 and 48 splits.. There is even an option to make your own type as well.. THe 6 Wide is cool, It will give you 2 larger split with 4 smaller split under it.. So that is cool..

So while I have the 81kd I did use it to add 2 IP channels for a 10 per unit and 30 in total. Easy way was to use the iVMS so I could look over all cameras at once without having to change inputs on the monitor.. When you see something on a Channel you double click the channel and it loads full screen double click again goes back to the Multi screen view..
