Introduction:
The Full Disk Access permission is a security feature introduced in macOS Mojave (10.14) that prevents non-authorized applications from accessing removable volumes. Since macOS 13 Ventura, Sadptool needs full access to your disks to export/import xml file. If you're using earlier versions of macOS, you need to allow Full Disk Access only when you want to reset password by importing xml file with Sadptool.
Resolution:
- Click on the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.
- Select System Preferences.
- Go to Security & Privacy Preferences > Privacy and click Full Disk Access from the left panel.
- Tick the checkbox for SADPTool. If the lock at the bottom left is locked, click it to unlock the Privacy pane.
If you can't find SADPTool in step 4, do the following:
- Click the plus (+) icon and navigate to Applications.
- In the left panel, find SADPTool and click Open. Make sure SADPTool is ticked and then close the window.
