camera compatability

I have a ankke dn81r and the dvr wont record anymore. I get an error with it. tried clearing recordings and resetting the unit. Still wont record. I can only watch a live view.  Are all the ankke dvr's compatible with the cameras this modem came with? I had hard wired the cameras. I dont want to have to rewire everything again. Just want to replace the dvr.
