No Tour-Function and Move back for CPT500
-
Dear Customer,
Have a nice day.
I'm truly sorry to hear about your disappointment with the pan & tilt cameras you've been using from Annke—it's always frustrating when a product doesn't meet expectations, especially after being a loyal customer for years.
We value your feedback and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
Let me take a moment to clarify the features you mentioned and explain our approach to product specifications in a way that hopefully makes sense.
First off, I want to confirm that auto-tracking (where the camera automatically follows movement in its field of view) is indeed a supported feature on these models, as outlined in our product descriptions.
However, it's separate from other functions like "tour" (also known as patrol or cruise mode, where the camera cycles through a predefined path or multiple positions automatically) and "preset points" (which allow you to save specific camera positions and have it jump back to them on command or after an event). These are distinct capabilities in PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera systems:
Auto-tracking focuses on real-time motion detection and following subjects dynamically to keep them in frame—it's great for active monitoring of unexpected activity.
Tour/patrol is more about scheduled scanning, like having the camera sweep across a wide area in a loop without needing motion triggers.
Preset points are for quick repositioning to saved spots, often used in larger setups where you want the camera to return to a "home" position after tracking or on a timer. We understand why you'd want these to work together (e.g., returning to a default position after tracking ends), as it would make the camera even more versatile for continuous main-area surveillance without manual intervention.
That said, our specifications and product pages are designed to be transparent: we only list and describe the features that are actually supported by the model. If tour/patrol or preset points aren't mentioned in the parameter table, user manual, or online details, it's because they're not included in this particular design.
We don't add unverified claims to avoid misleading anyone, and we're sorry if this wasn't clear enough upfront— we'll review our listings to see if we can make feature distinctions even more explicit moving forward.
And if you have any question, do not hesitate to contact us support@annke.com
Best regards!
