Purpose: You could set up the email alert function to receive the motion notification.
Steps:
1.You can use Gmail/ Hotmail/ Yahoo etc. mailboxes to set the email alert function.
2.Log in Google account, go to 'Security', then turn on '2-Step Verification'. Click on 'App Password' to create your App Password (16 digits).
3. Search 'App Password'
4. Go to Menu-->Configuration-->Network-->Email and set up the email alert like the picture below.
The SMTP server:
Gmail: smtp.gmail.com
Hotmail/Outlook: smtp.office365.com
Yahoo: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
GMX: mail.gmx.com
strato: smtp.strato.com
163: smtp.163.com
QQ: smtp.qq.com
User Name is your Gmail /Hotmail/ Yahoo etc. email address
The SMTP port:
Gmail: 587 or 465
Hotmail/ Outlook: 587 or 465
Yahoo: 587
GMX: mail.gmx.com: 25/465
strato: 45
163: 25/465/994
QQ: 165
Password is your App password (16 digits) from Google
Tick SSL
Sender can be anything
Sender's address is your Gmail /Hotmail/ Yahoo etc. email address
Receiver can be anything
Receiver's address can be any email address you want to receive notification
tick option enable attached file
click test. If the test succeeds, all is working.
6. Go to Menu-->Camera-->Motion to enable Send Email Linkage Action. After you finish all, click Apply to save all your setting.
7. Then you will receive notifications via email when there is motion detection on the system.

Hello
It is not working anymore on my setup, I dont know why, but it appears google change the connection with less secure application... Do you have an alternative?
