Motion detection recording means DVR/NVR will record automatically when it is triggered by movement.
There are several possible causes for the Motion Detection Recording failed on DVR/NVRs. You may follow the troubleshooting tips listed below to solve the problem.
Cause 1. The DVR/NVR didn't install Hard Disk Drive(HDD)
Solution: Install one. The DVR needs an internal hard disk drive for recording. Without the hard disk drive, the system can show live viewing, but can’t record, playback either.
Cause 2. The HDD's status is not normal
Solution: Check the status of HDD, if the HDD status says unformatted, click format.

Cause 3. Forget to enable motion detection function
Solution: Different Models have a different menu interface to enable this function.

Solution: Choose the high sensitivity to detect motion.
Cause 6. The set up of the motion record schedule have something wrong
