Purpose: If your camera detects motion but push notifications in the mobile app are delayed by several seconds or even several minutes, or arrive after the event has ended, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
1.Check the Wi-Fi Signal Strength and Battery Level
In the mobile app, check the Wi-Fi signal strength at the camera's installation location and the camera's current battery level. A weak or unstable Wi-Fi signal or a low battery may cause motion detection notifications to be delayed. If the signal is weak, try improving Wi-Fi coverage. If the battery is low, fully charge the camera. Then test again to see whether the notification delay improves.
2.Check Your Phone's Notification and Background Settings
Your phone's system settings may restrict the app from running in the background or delivering notifications promptly.
Please check the following settings:
- Notification permissions: Make sure notifications are enabled for the camera app in your phone's settings.
- Battery optimization: Check whether battery-saving mode or battery optimization is restricting the app's background activity. If necessary, allow the app to run in the background.
- Background activity restrictions: Ensure that the app is permitted to operate in the background and is not being automatically stopped by the phone system.
- Network connection: Test the push notifications while your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, then switch to mobile data and test again. If notifications are delayed only when using one type of network, the issue may be related to the network connection or its configuration.
If the Wi-Fi signal strength, battery level, and your phone's notification and background settings are all normal, but the issue persists, please proceed to Step 3 for further troubleshooting.
3.Check Whether the Notification Delay Affects All Cameras or Only One
First, check whether the notification delay occurs on all cameras or only on a specific camera. Then follow the appropriate troubleshooting steps below.
If all cameras are affected:
- Restart your router and the N54WHF system, if applicable.
- If the issue persists, try resetting your router and the N54WHF system, if applicable.
- Reconnect the affected cameras to the mobile app or remove and re-add the N54WHF system to the app, if applicable.
- Test the push notifications again to see whether the delay has improved.
If only one camera is affected:
- Reset the affected camera to its factory defaults.
- Reconnect the camera to the mobile app.
- Test the motion detection and push notifications again.

If the issue persists after completing the steps above, please contact ANNKE Technical Support at support@annke.com and provide the following information:
- Motion detection video: A video clip showing the motion event recorded by the camera.
- Event time: The exact date and time when the motion occurred and, if possible, when the notification was received.
- Affected cameras: Confirm whether the issue affects all cameras or only specific ones.
- App account: If possible, provide the account used to log in to the app so our technical team can further investigate the issue.
Please ensure that the event time corresponds to the recording provided. This will help us compare the actual motion event with the notification delivery time and investigate the cause of the delay.
