Applies to: N48PI/N44PI/N46PI/N44PAM/N48PAW/N46PCK/N88PCH/NCK800/H800/H500
Purpose: The NVR supports IPC connection from a third-party, you can disable the PoE interface by selecting the manual while the current channel could be used as a normal channel and the parameters could also be edited.
Here are the steps for you:
- Connect the NVR to the router via Ethernet, connect IPC to the same router.
- Please go to NVR Menu > Camera Management > Camera > IP camera to refresh the IP list to find the IP camera you want to add. Choose an IPC channel that is available and clicks “Edit”. An example is shown below, the 10.0.0.20 is the address for desired IPC, and choose to edit channel D1.
- Edit the parameters of the IPC.
Adding Method: "choose manual"
IP Camera Address: manually input the correct IP address, i.e. 10.0.0.20
Protocol: choose the protocol the IPC is compatible with, i.e. ONVIF
Management Port: choose the correct IPC port, i.e. 80
Channel Port: choose the additional channel port, i.e. 1
Transfer Protocol:could be set "Auto"
User Name: the username of the IPC, usually is defaulted as "admin"
Admin Password: the password of the IPC, please enter accordingly to your IPC
Click OK to add the IP camera.
- If you have successfully added, the “Status” column would appear as a play icon and click it to play the video preview.
If you have not added correctly, the “Status" column would appear as a warning exclamation mark, click it to see the reason for the failure. You can choose “Edit” according to the notice and check if there is any mistake on the IPC information.
