Purpose: Usually, the Annke POE system kit includes the NVR and POE cameras that can Plug-and-Play with a direct connection via ethernet cable. But some customers may need to use a POE switch between NVR and cameras.
Here are the steps for you:
- Connect the NVR, cameras, and the POE switch as below picture:
- Assign a valid IP address for the camera
The camera to be added to NVR will need a valid IP address from the same network segment.
Using the SADP software on a computer in the same local network. Enable DHCP on each camera connected to PoE switch so they can obtain a new valid IP address.
After that, untick the box "Enable DHCP", input the admin password, then click "Apply". This will leave the camera with a static IP address.
Note:
It is recommended to bind the camera's static IP address with camera's MAC address on the router. This will reserve the IP address for the camera.
- Log into the NVR, go to Menu - Camera - Camera Management - IP camera to refresh the IP list to find the cameras. Click the green "+" icon to add the IP camera to the list.
Note: If you find you cannot add the IP camera to the list and notice you “ No more IP camera allowed”, please mark down the IP address of this camera, choose the channel which has no camera connected, click the edit icon to change its information to add the camera.
Adding method: Manual
IP camera address: the camera’s IP address detected and showed on the NVR
Protocol: IPCAM (If the camera is from third-party brand, please choose 'ONVIF' instead)
User name: admin
Admin Password: the password of the IP camera
Other options just keep the same as the default, click OK to save the settings.
